Update note: Unknown parents at the moment
On 19 Sep 1743, JOHANN WILHELM ECKROTH, age 18, arrived in the ship Lydia, James Abercrombie, Master, from Rotterdam. He took the oath of allegiance in Philadelphia the next day, 20 Sep 1743
Update note: possible earlier/late brother (of three brothers)
Submitter's note: Ovid Eckroate mentioned a story about the Eckroate family that there were three Eckroate brothers; two were killed by Indians the other survied by hiding in the roots of trees near a river. It is suppose to be from this surviving brother that the "Eckroate" decended. The Eckroates' were from PA.
