I'm a member of the Lancaster Historical Commission, as well as, the Lancaster Genealogical Society. I provide research for both, and focus much of my research on local cemeteries. I've tried to document as much as I can in providing, photos, links, and bio information.
My Aunt and I started researching our Ghent family and I came across Find A Grave in our ancestry searches. I was so impressed with the site that I started going to cemeteries and local libraries in search of information.
Find A Grave is a great resource and has a lot of wonderful historical information.
My goal is to be able to locate and provide as much information on each of our Ghent family members that I can find. I have found more than one set of Ghent's in our area and I am trying to see if they connect, so linking them has been a great tool.
In my many cross-eyed searches in reading small print, very old and blurry microfilm at the library, I try to keep and eye out for information on deaths, marriages, births, etc...on other local citizens and add those in hopes to help others with their genealogy endeavors.
I have received a lot of help from other members of Find A Grave and it's very much appreciated.

Like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.
