Bio

PLEASE NOTE: If you are going ask questions about my memorials or any other questions, at least have the courtesy to have your messages enabled or at least send me an email address, as I can not answer your questions otherwise.

I use Ancestry.com primarily for research. My tree is on backushistory.info. On the tree are Backus, Switzer, Dana, Strong, Lattin, Southard, and Phelps branches. If you are interested, please go to the site and request a logon id.

You have my permission to use any Gravestone Pictures taken by me for private uses. For public use, you may use them as long as I AM GIVEN CREDIT. For commercial use, please contact me. ANY OTHER PHOTOS MAY NOT be used without WRITTEN PERMISSION on ANY SITE!

As you can see in my stats, I don't claim photo requests, I just head out and get the pictures and add them.

I have been doing genealogy since 2000. I enjoy walking thru the cemeteries and taking photos of the real old stones, to preserve them, because someday they will be gone or unreadable.

While many of my memorials ARE related to me, there are quite a few that are not. I have no problem transferring the non related memorials to family, it doesn't have to be by the FAG guide lines. All you have to do is ask!

Images of obits are intended to provide data clues from original source to alleviate concerns about transcription errors or embellishments. REMOVED UPON REQUEST. Click on image to find source and date of publication in caption below image.

Known Burials verses Unknown Burials: Please, do not move your Unknown Burial or a memorial from an incorrect cemetery into the correct cemetery and then demand that the contributor delete their correctly placed memorial. Find A Grave states a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location and they will merge those memorials into the correctly placed memorial.
********************************************

Also I know most of the time I do not get to thank everyone for the photos and memorials, and the corrections. So a BIG THANK YOU!

Note: I happily accept any memorials you no longer wish to manage. You do not have to ask.

Upon becoming a memorial, I leave all my memorials to FAG Volunteer# 47468547
