Anna Elaine Liles, 75, Freeport, Ill., died August 2, 2008 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 8, 1933 in Willow Springs Township, the daughter of Joseph and Delilah (Tubbs) McKillip. She graduated from Darlington High School in 1951.
Anna married Robert W. Luy on September 19, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1986. Anna married Marion G. Liles on Feb. 14, 2001. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2004. Anna was employed by Micro Switch from where she retired.
She was a member of St. Mary's church, Freeport, Ill., and other memberships included Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Citizens Swingers, and the Leaping Lena Red Hatters.
She is survived by her children, Frank (Sue) Luy, Rick (Penny) Luy, Theresa Luy all of Freeport; Bonnie (Dale) Baal, Forreston, Ill.; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald McKillip, Shullsburg, Joseph (Maxine) McKillip, Freeport; three sisters, Delores Murphy, Monroe, Rachel (Gilbert) Suthers, and Sara Lange Flanagan, Darlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, infant brother, a grandson, brothers in law and a sister in law.
Services were held August 8, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Freeport, Ill. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lena, Ill.
