Donald is survived by his children: Tena (Carl) Moldenhauer, Sherry Schambow, Dana McKillip, and Dean McKillip all of Shullsburg; six grandchildren: Donald (Amy) Mullikin of Shullsburg, Jason (Nicole Fiedler) Mullikin of Platteville, WI, Jenny (Jarred) Altfillisch of Germantown, WI, Carla Moldenhauer of Platteville, Brian (Mackenzie) Schambow of Livingston, WI, and Shelly Schambow of Platteville; five great-grandchildren: Neal and Maddie Mullikin, Taylor and Tanner Mullikin, and Kris Miller; four step-great-grandchildren: Arianna and Cortney Fiedler, and Sophia and Madison Schmitt; and two sisters: Sara Flanagan and Rachael (Gib) Suthers both of Darlington. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby in 2001; two daughters in infancy: Charlotte and Roxanne McKillip; one brother: Joe McKillip; two sisters: Delores Murphy and Elaine Luy; and two sons-in-law: Jeff Mullikin and Bruce Schambow.
Donald was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Shullsburg. He loved to spend his days going to the Shullsburg Senior Center where he enjoyed playing cards and talking with friends. Donald had a very sweet tooth especially when it came to chocolate and always enjoyed dancing. He adored his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the memories they all made together. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church (344 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu. A visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement St., Shullsburg) and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church. A burial of cremains will be held at a later date at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Darlington.
