MRS. HENRY L. BASTIAN
Mrs. Henry L. Bastian, 84, of 207 Trier St. Brillion, died Friday afternoon at her home following a short illness.
The former Elizabeth Zick was born on April 4, 1878, in Brillion, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zick. Prior to her marriage on Oct. 22, 1903, she taught school.
She and her husband farmed west of Brillion until 1944 when they moved to the present home. Her husband died in 1954.
Mrs. Bastian was a member of the Brillion Methodist Church, a charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service, and served as a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Wolfmeyer of Brillion; three sons, Ralph of Kaukauna, Herbert of rural Brillion, Nelson of Ols, Alberta, Canada; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Hanna Keuer and Mrs. John Selton(Felton) of Brillion, Miss Marie Zick and Mrs. Emilie Wiese of Clintonville, Mrs. Gustave Huebner of Seymour, Mrs. Sarah Huebner of Milwaukee, and one brother, Ben Zick of Brillion, two daughters, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Brillion Methodist Church. The rev. Patrice deMestral, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Appleton.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 2 p.m. Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday, then at the church after 11.
