VERNON ROBLEY Vernon V. Robley, age 66, of 4214 Rock St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, October 19, 1993, at the Bellin Memorial Hospital Green Bay. A Service of Comfort for the family will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 1993, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. He was born July 4, 1927, in Clarks Mills, Town of Cato, son of the late Peter and Ida Thone Robley. Mr. Robley served in the United States Army in Panama from September 1945 to February 1947. He married the former Shirley A. Wenzel on January 31, 1953, at Gjerpen Church, Valders. Mr. anmd (sic) Mrs. Robley were former residents of Newton and have resided in Manitowoc since 1992. He was employed with Schlei Dray Line for 15 years and for 27 years with local 298 as a welder and steam fitter out of Green Bay. Mr. Robely (sic) retired in January of 1992, following his retirement he enjoyed spending time golfing. Survivors include his wife, Shirely (sic); a son, Ronald Robley, Cato; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Barbara and Alex Augustine, Manitowoc, Patricia and David McCarville, Belleville, Wis., Nancy and Steven Bertsch, Manitowoc, Karen and Paul Dietrich, Manitowoc, Cheryl Robley, Appleton, Lynn Robley and friend, Terry Koplitz, Appleton; ten grandchildren, Sarah and Eric Augustine, Colin and Laura McCarville, Amanda, Bradley and Jason Bertsche, Ryan, Garett, and Lindsay Dietrich; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Rueben and Valdis Robley, Kimberly, Lewellyn and Vivian Robley, Valders, Marvin Robley, Manitowoc, Roger and Karen Robley, Manitowoc, Merlin and Gloria Robley, Reedsville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and James Arentsen, Sheboygan, Ilene and Leroy Stock, Newton, Diane and Paul Havlinek, Howards Grove; two brothers-in-law, Ulysses Wenzel, Wilbur and his wife, Ardis Wenzel, all of Clintonville. Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother. Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, form (sic) 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 22, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
