Obituary:

Roger M. Robley, age 80, a resident in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, entered eternal life Tuesday morning, October 4, 2016 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Roger was born August 15, 1936 in Clarks Mills, Manitowoc County. He was the son of the late Peter and Ida Thone Robley.

Roger was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1954. He served with the United States Marine Corps overseas in Japan and the Philippines. In December 1959 Roger was honorably discharge. He was employed as a machinist with the Kohler Company for 42 years from where he retired.

On June 26, 1960 he married Karen Schneider at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Collins. Roger was a member of First German Evamgelical Lutheran Church. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Roger enjoyed taking his two granddaughters to have ice cream by the "Big Cow" at Cedar Crest on South 10th Street.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Karen: one son and daughter-in-law: Tim and Patty Robley, Manitowoc; son-in-law: Scott Hill, Germantown; four grandchildren: Kylie and Jacy Robley, Corey and Logan Hill; two sisters: Dorothy (James) Arentsen, Sheboygan; Diane (Paul) Havlinek, Howards Grove; two sisters-in-law: Gloria Robley, Collins; Valdis Robley, Kimberly; brother-in-law: Carl (Alice) Schneider, Plymouth; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Peter and Ida Robley; one daughter: Linda Hill; six brothers: Royal, Reuben, Lewellyn (Vivian), Vernon (Shirley), Marvin and Merlin; one sister: Ilene (LeRoy) Stock; three nephews: Burton, Jim, and Jeffrey Robley; one niece: Jan Van Voohs; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edgar and Alvina Schneider.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1033 South 8th Street, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Officiating will be Rev. Benjamin Schaefer and Rev. Christopher Hoppe. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at First German Ev. Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.

The family would like to express a special thank you to our daughter-in-law, Patty along with the Aurora Medical Center staff Robert, J.J., Jenny McDole and the Aurora At Home Hospice who took such great care of Roger.
