Mrs. Arthur Rieck, 66, a former Centerville resident, died earlier today at her
home, 1124 Philippine street, after a short illness. Née Clara Lutze, she was
born Oct. 16, 1883 at Centerville, and was married at Centerville to Arthur
Rieck on June 2, 1907. The couple made their home there until 1934 when they
moved to Manitowoc. Her husband was employed both at Centerville and Manitowoc
as a carpenter contractor. Mrs. Rieck was a member of the Ladies' Aid society of
the First German Evangelical Lutheran Church at Manitowoc.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Roland Siggelkow, Cleveland,
Wis., Miss Esther Rieck, at home; three brothers, Edward, John and Oscar,
Cleveland; two sisters, Mrs. john Lorfeld, Cleveland, and Mrs. David Lorfeld,
Spring Valley, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. L. H. Koeninger, pastor, will officiate
and burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery at Manitowoc. Friends may call at
the Urbanek and Schiel Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from Friday noon until 10 a.m.
Saturday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the
time of services.

of 7 children.
