She immigrated in at age 3 with her parents and 4 siblings in 1852. Her given name was Margaretha, not Margareta.

Mrs. Edward Lutze, 93, nee Margaret Reinemann, Centerville's oldest resident, died early today at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Lorfeld in Cleveland. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Stoltenberg funeral chapel at Cleveland and at two o'clock from the St. Peter-St. John Lutheran church in Cleveland, the Rev. martin Braun officiating. Despite her advanced years Mrs. Lutze maintained her faculties until the end, and took an active interest in her family and neighborhood affairs. Mrs. Lutze was born in Prussia on the Rhine in 1849 and when she was two years old her parents left Germany for America and months later located in the southern part of this county. In 1869 she was married to Edward Lutze, a cobbler, and 11 years later they purchased a 120 acre farm that became the Lutze homestead west of Cleveland in the town of Centerville.
They were the parents of seven children, six of whom survive.

When the Lutzes retired in 1908 they built a home on Highway 149 where they lived until Mr. Lutze's death in 1927. She lived seven years with her son Oscar in Cleveland and since with her daughter, Mrs. Lorfeld.
Survivors are three sons, Edward and Oscar of Cleveland, John, on the homestead; three daughters, Mrs. John Lorfeld of Cleveland, Mrs. David Lorfeld of Spring Valley, Mrs. Arthur Rieck, of this city; 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
