Walter Odell Bye was born Dec. 10, 1921, to William Edmund and May (Odell) Bye in Seward County, Nebraska. He passed away Dec 17,2008, in Norfolk, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He married Ardath Elaine Hagerman on Aug. 04, 1950, at Seward, Nebraska. They lived most of their married life in Three Rivers,Michigan, where their four children, Judith, Paul, Timothy and Joye, were born and raised. Following retirement, Walt & Elaine moved to Nebraska. Walter is survived by his wife, Ardath "Elaine" Bye, son Paul Michael Bye of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Judith Plisek & Joye Briggs; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Timothy Lee Bye (1955-2008); daughter-in-law Christine Jane Eley Bye (1952-1990);two brothers, Lawrence Edmund Bye(1910-1978) and William Robert Bye (1915-2004); and sister Irene May (Bye) Dine (1908-1990).
