Lawrence E. Bye, 67, of Seward, died Thursday, March 9. He was a retired farmer and a former employee of the Nebraska State Department of Roads. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Seward.
Survivors include his wife Edna; brothers, William of Seward and Walter of Three Rivers , Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Irene Dine of Bellflower, Calif.; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Frieda Ricenbaw of Seward; nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, March 13, at the United Methodist Church, Seward, the Rev. Charles Gates officiating. Burial was in the Seward Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Herman Panoke, Raymond Policky, Ernest Schrader, Clifford Reiling, Phillip Wurst, Arnold Boldt. Honary pallbearers were Alan and Todd Bye, Walter Bick, Kenneth and Gilbert Reiker and John Odell.
