Vernie Lorene Fincher, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999 at her home in Wellington after a long illness.
Mrs. Fincher was born April 4, 1913 in Pottsboro, TX to D.E. and Ella Wisdom.
She married Wiley Bill Fincher Sept. 8, 1931 in Hollis, OK.
She spent most of her life in Wellington and was a full time homemaker, raising her daughter and four of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Wellington Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Seely; four sisters, Corene Homer of Farminglon, NM, Othella Hutchins, Wilda Johnson and Ruth Johnson, all of Wellington; Two brothers, Clyde Wisdom of Albuquerque, NM and Emmett Wisdom of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Sam Hicks, Shirley
Sanderson, Edith Marline, Charlotte Bainbridge, Debbie Berryman and Ardia Grey; 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Wiley Bill, in 1980, her parents, one grandson, Alfie Seely; one sister, Nellie Gibson and five great-grandchildren.
