Emmett Wisdom, 74, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with Jim Blackmon, Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S Georgia St.
Mr Wisdom was born in Dodson. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Helen Judd in Wellington on Aug. 12, 1944. He moved to Amarillo in 1951. He worked for Golden Spread Redi-Mix for 37 years, retiring in 1992. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and going to garage sales. He was a member of Olsen Park Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; five daughters, Elaine Loukas, DeAnna Griffin, Brenda Melvyn and Tina Stephens, all of Amarillo, and Carol Miller of Pryor, Okla.; a son, Danny Wisdom of Grand Prairie; four sisters, Ruth Johnson, Wilda Johnson and Othella Hutchins, all of Wellington, and Corine Homer of Kirtland, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3603 Van Tassel.
