Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville, the Rev. Harvey Heckendorf officiating. Burial will be in the West Side Church Cemetery, Reedsville.
Mr. Lau was born Feb. 23, 1884, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Robert and Eleanor Schroeder Lau. He married the former Annie Dallman Dec. 7, 1909, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul.
They farmed in the Town of Rockland all their married life. He was trustee of St. John and St. James Church for three years. The couple observed its 54th wedding anniversary last year.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Roy Lau of Manitowoc, Edwin Lau of rural Reedsville and Warden Lau of rural Chilton; two daughters, Mrs. Milton Loose of rural Reedsville and Mrs. Elmer Loose of rural Chilton; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Schmidt of rural Chilton and Mrs. Frieda Sobiech of rural Reedsville; four brothers, Albert Lau of Brillion, William Lau of Potter, Adolph Lau of rural Chilton and Herman Lau of rural Brillion; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. A son, Clarence Lau, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Reedsville Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
