SHAWVILLE - John D. Hockenberry of Shawville was dead on arrival in the Clearfield Hospital yesterday, March 30.
He was born in Blandburg June 4, 1926, a son of Charles and Anna (Boyd) Hockenberry.
He is survived by his mother, in Morrisdale R.D.; his wife, the former Theda Heichel, and the following children: Mrs. Jess (Diane) Bowman and Jane, both of Woodland, R.D.; David serving in the U.S. Army; Jeffrey, Edward and John, all at home.
The following brothers and sisters survive: Thomas of Hawk Run; George of Clearfield and Mrs. Charles (Irene) Harris of Mifflin, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Mrs. Marion Leecher.
Services will be held from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, Interment will be in the Palestine Methodist Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and until the hour of services Saturday.
