PTOMAINE POISONING CAUSES HER DEATH.

Mrs. Adaline Carroll, well known Leavenworth woman, died at her home, 718 Cheyenne street, at 9:45 o'clock last night of ptomaine poisoning. No funeral arrangements have been made. She was 49 years old.

Mrs. Carroll was ill only a few days. She was stricken Saturday with ptomaine poisoning and, although every effort was made to save her life, she grew gradually worse until the end last night.

She was born in Missouri in 1869. She spent her early life there but came to Kansas some years ago. She has resided here with her husband Joseph [sic: John] Carroll for many years. She is survived by her husband and a son, Marshall Carroll [sic: Radford]. Five sisters also survive.

Succumbed at 9:55 o'clock Last Night at Her Home, 718 Cheyenne Street.

Adeline Carroll, 49 years old, wife of John Carroll, died at 9:55 o'clock last night at her home, 718 Cheyenne street, after an illness of only a few days. Ptomaine poisoning was the cause of her death. Mrs. Carroll was well known in this city and has many friends, who will be grieved to learn of her death.

Besides her husband, the surviving relatives are a son, Marshall [son from first marriage to Enoch Radford, who died Apr. 24, 1891], and five sisters, Mrs. Elmer [Rebecca Ann "Annie"] Hanks, Mrs. William [Jenny] Chambers, Mrs. Eva Ridge, Mrs. George [Tabytha "Vina"] Bynan, and Mrs. Dobert [sic: Robert] [Anna] Seeley, all of this city.

No funeral arrangements have been made.
