79, Dies at Arpin
Arpin — Ferdinand Kegler, 79,
died at his home here at 9:15 a.
m. today after a lingering illness.
Funeral arrangements and a com-
plete obituary will be published in
the Tribune Saturday.

Funeral Rites for
Ferdinand Kegler
to Be on Monday
Funeral services will be held next
Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the
home and at 2 o'clock from Imman-
uel Evangelical Lutheran church, at
Arpin, for Ferdinand J. A. Kegler,
79, who died Friday morning after
a lingering illness.
The Rev. William Chellew will
officate at the rites. The body will
be removed to the Kegler home
until time of services.
Mr. Kegler had been a resident
of Wood county for 40 years. He
was born at Woltersdorf, Germany,
on September 4, 1861, coming to this
country at the age of 25. He settled
at Waterloo, Wis. After leaving Wa-
terloo he spent all but a few years,
during which he resided in Wiscon-
sin Rapids, and in Arpin.
He was married to Wilhelmine
Peterich on November 14, 1886. She
survives him with five of their seven
children, Mr. Cornelius (Olga)
Halkenende jr., and Max, Pittsville;
Paul and William, Wisconsin Rap-
ids, and Ernest, at home.
Eleven grandchildren and three
sisters, Mrs. William Splittgerber,
Waterloo; Mrs. Frank Myers, Mar-
shall, Wis., and Mrs. L. Nickels,
Granton, also survive.
Mr. Kegler had been a life-long
member of the Lutheran church.
