Cindia Rill (Cinderella) Howell, was born 9 Apr, 1833 (According to her Death Certificate. Her headstone in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery is engraved 8 June, 1833) and she died 21 January 1914 in Larue County, Kentucky. She has perhaps the earliest custom headstone in the cemetery.

Cinderella was a daughter of Andrew Howell, born about 1815 in Kentucky who married Eleanor (Leannah) Houston on 28 Jul 1836 in Hardin (Now LaRue) County, Kentucky, Surety by Amos Houston, brother to Eleanor.
The father of Andrew is not known, but it has been established that his mother was Susannah Howell, born about 1790 and died after 27 May, 1845 in LaRue County. Andrew had a brother, David Howell, born 1812. Susannah Howell was a daughter of Charles Howell of whom little is known. Susannah had a sister, Catherine Howell who married John Thomas Price on 27 Feb 1804 in Hardin County, Kentucky. John Thomas Price was born 17 Mar 1783 in Virginia and died 2 May 1847 in LaRue County, Kentucky. He is buried in Little Mount Cemetery near Leafdale. This Price family has left hundreds, if not thousands, of descendants in this area of Kentucky.

I have located a guardian bond for Cinderella Howell. Andrew Howell was appointed her guardian in October 1855. Andrew Howell married Cinderella's mother, Leannah in 1836, three years after Cinderella was born.

something must have been amiss with this Bond. There is another one a week later:

Andrew gets credit for being the father of Cinderella, but it is a fact she was likely a daughter with unknown father.

Cinderella was listed as a widow on some census data, but there is no evidence to suggest she was ever married. Her children by unknown father are James A. Howell, born Feb 1865; Isabelle Howell (1869-bef 1910); and David Luther Howell (1877-1931).

Her Children who have been determined as children by William C. Thompson (1808-1865) who was killed by guerrillas during the Civil War are;

1. Alice (Martha Alice) Howell, b. Jan 1856, d. aft 1900. (She is buried in an unmarked grave near the gravesite of Cinderella)
2. Emma (Emily) Howell, b. 1859, d. 15 Feb 1953 (She is Emma Howell Wayne and is also buried nearby in an unmarked grave)
3. Didamia Howell, b. 1860, d. before 1880 census was taken.
4. Susan (Sudie) A. Howell, b. 24 Jan 1861, d. 2 Mar 1932 (Sudie A. Howell never married but was mother of 7 Howell children who have families in the area)(Sudie is buried in an unmarked grave near Cinderella).
5. William W. Howell, b. Jan 1862, d. aft 1930. He married Sarah Catherine Cundiff on 16 Aug 1894 and census data tracks him as having lived his entire life in the nearby area.
