Isabelle Howell Houston was born in March 1869 at Ball Hollow, LaRue County, Kentucky. Her father's name is unknown. Her mother was Cinderella Howell and she is also buried in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Isabelle Howell had 3 children by an unknown father.
1. Jesse James Howell, b. 13 Jan 1886, d. 6 Jan 1969. He is buried in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
2. Arthur Y. (Boss) Howell, b. 1 Aug 1890, d. 8 Feb 1972 in Pomona, California

Funeral services for Arthur Howell, 81, of 754 E. Fernleaf St., Pomona, Calif., formerly of Castleton, who died Feb. 8, 1972, were held Feb. 11 at the Todd Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Robert W. Estus officiated and interment was in the Pomona Cemetery.He was born Aug 1, 1891 in LaRue County, Ky. He was a veteran of Army service during World War I. He as an active member of the Castleton American Legion and later with the Charles P. Rowe Post 30 in Pomona.He married Bertha Johnson, Jan. 3, 1919 and they resided in Castleton until 1945 when they moved to Pomona. Surviving are the wife; a daughter, Mr. Violet Fitzpatrick of Diamond Bar, Calif., two grandchildren, Miss Kay Catton of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Dale Catton of Toulon; three great-grandchildren; a brother, John Howell of Wyoming and a half-brother, Earl Houston of Princeton. He was preceded in death by two sons, Dane and Otis.

3. John C. Howell, b. Oct 1892. He moved to Illinois, married and it is believed he died there.

Isabelle married Lewis A. Houston on 30 April 1894 in LaRue County, Kentucky. He was 27 and she was 23 years old. They had 3 children:
1. Infant Houston, b. abt 1896 and died 9 April 1896. Buried here in Pleasant Ridge Cem.
2. Earl M. Houston, b. 6 Mar 1897, died Aug 1977 in Princeton, Bureau County, Illinois 3. Goble (William Goeble) Houston, b. 6 Feb 1899, died 11 Feb 1926. Died in a Schoolhouse water well while he and my father, Robert M. Perkins were cleaning it. He was overcome by gas in the well and died before he could be gotten out.

Hoyt Howell gave his grandmother' name as Isabelle In an interview for the GREEN COUNTY CONNECTIONS, PAGE 315.
