OBITUARY
Benj. Franklin Grubaugh was born Nov. 10, 1840 in Perrysville, Ashland county, OH. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Washington township, where he resided until his death. He was married July 4, 1865 to Miss Sarah E. Washington. To the union were born 11 children, 2 sons and 9 daughters, all of whom survive except Mrs. Anna Hill, who died Sept. 30, 1909. In all there were 38 grandchildren, 34 of whom remain to mourn his departure.
At 10 o'clock Monday morning, September 11th, after an illness of about six months due to cancer of the stomach, he departed this life.
Mr. Grubaugh was a kind and provident husband and father. His life companion preceded him to the Great Eternity seven years ago the 4th of last March. Many friends and well-wishing neighbors mourn his death.
Shortly before he took his departure he assured those nearest and dearest to him that his peace was made with God. A number of years ago both he and his devoted wife had been converted in the Evangelical church.
Funeral services were conducted at the late home four miles west of Eureka and in the County Line Evangelical church, by Rev. C. W. Lyman, Wednesday forenoon, Sept. 13, Interment being in Union Home cemetery
