George Ephraim Grubaugh was born in 1870 to Benjamin Franklin Grubaugh and Sarah Ellen Washington. He was the 3rd of their 11 children. George spent his entire life in the Gratiot and Clinton County area. He married Eunice M. Morton on 22 Sep 1894 in St. Johns, Clinton County. They had two children - Grace A. Grubaugh Balcom (1896-1983) and Lawrence E. Grubaugh (1899-1967). George died in 1953 and Eunice died 5 years later. She never remarried.

SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER RESIDENT
Services were held last week from Fulton Center Church for George Grubaugh, 83, former resident of St. Johns, who died Dec. 14, at his Fulton Center, Gratiot county, home. Rev. Earl Linsey officiated and interment was in Union Home Cemetery.
Mr. Grubaugh was born March 3, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Grubaugh. He was married on Sept. 22, 1894 to Eunice Marten and to this union two children were born, Mrs. Harry Balcom of Fowlerville and Lawrence of near Perrinton.
Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Melvin Haller, Mrs. Leonard Stockwell and Mrs. John Drew, all of St. Johns; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Mr. Grubaugh had been in failing health for a number of years
