RITES ARE SET TODAY FOR PARKER

Grover Lee Parker, 75, who had lived in Davis all of his life, died Sept. 13 in the Arbuckle hospital. He had been ill 6 weeks.

A retired carpenter, Parker was born Aug. 20, 1891, in Murray County. He as a member of the First Baptist church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday,Sept. 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bahner Funeral Home chapel with Rev. A. L. McCaffey of Healdton officating. Interment will be in Green Hill cemetery

Pallbearers will be Grady Kennedy, Herschel Digby, Leo Williams, Jimmy Dale, Clarnce Sims, and Doran Wells.

Parker is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jack Thorton of Sulphur, a son Carl Parker of Midwest City; one sister, Mrs. Calie Gibson of Allen Oklahoma, a half sister, Mrs. Grace Calvert of Tulsa; one half brother, Perry Harris of Globe Ariz; and a step-brother, Fred Harris of Wichita Falls, Tex; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
