Perry Harris was recently appointed treasurer of the Davis school district, succeeding S. H. Davis who resigned after filling the position two years. Mr. Davis was a member of the school board nearly 30 years. Mr. Harris is assistant cashier of the City National Bank and will make a good school treasurer.

Rites Held
For Harris


Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 2 for a former Davis resident, T. Perry Harris of Globe, Ariz. He died July 29 in a Miami, Ariz., hospital after a two weeks illness. He had been in ill health for four years.

Rev. Troy Pults officiated at the services at First United Methodist church. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery under the direction of Bahner Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Willie Warren, Olan Kelly, Gordon Pullen, Guy Palmer, Randy Moore and Bobby Jones.

Honorary bearers were Jack Garrison, Tom Jamison, Bud Stewart, Richard Morton, Robert Fulton and M. S. Greer.

Harris was born Sept. 7, 1902, at Davis, Indian Territory. He moved in 1942 from Davis to Globe where he was clerk in the purchasing department of the Miami Copper Co. He retired in 1966 with 25 years service.

Harris was a member of the United Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Mabel Harris of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Imoleta Fulton of Davis, two grandchildren, Perry Bob Fulton of Dallas, Tex., and Connie Fulton of Davis, a great-grandson, Tracy Boyd Fulton of Dallas, Tex., two sisters, Mrs. Charles Calvert of Tulsa and Mrs. R. R. Gibson of Allen, one brother, Fred Harris of Wichita Falls, Tex.
