Services Sunday for Mrs. G. L. Parker
Funeral services for Mrs. Ocie Parker, 44, wife of Grover L. Parker, were held at the Methodist church at 3 p.m. Sunday, in the presence of a large crowd.
The pastor, Rev. M. F. Bell, conducted the service. Burial was at Green Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker passed away last Thursday at 1:15 p.m. in an Oklahoma City hospital where she had been three weeks for treatment. She had been in ill health for some time.
Mrs. Parker, who was Miss Ocie Hinchey, was born in Southwest Texas, Nov. 12, 1896, came to Oklahoma with her parents about four years later, and lived in and around Davis about 40 years. On June 30, 1912, she was married to G. L. Parker by the late Rev. J. S. Ferguson. Born of this union were two children- a son, Carl of Lawton and a daughter Anita, a freshman in davis high school. The family has resided in Davis since 1935. Mrs. Parker had been a member of the Methodist church since 13 years of agee. She will be missed by her many friends.
Survivors are her husband, son and daughter, her mother, Mrs. Geo Hunt, one sister, Mrs. Russell Hunt Lindsay Okla.; four brothers, George and Leroy Hinchey of davis, Harm Hinchey, Pauls valley, and Russell Hinchey, Shawnee.
