Floyd Curtis, 82, died on Thursday December 13, 1984 in a Richfield hospital.

He was born October 6, 1902 in Aurora, Utah, to Lorenzo Snow and Eliza Isabell Mott Curtis. He married Bessie Mason on February 4, 1923 in Richfield, Utah.

He made his living astride a horse, working with cattle. It was his life's love, and he had a great love for horses. He always had one around. After taking the wildest one to tame, his head filled with pride knowing it was gentle enough for a child to ride. He took his last ride just like the first: gallant and brave. He would be greatly missed.

Survived by: wife, Aurora, Utah; sons, daughters, Wayne, Aurora, Utah; Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah; Dent, Mrs. Arden (Jenny) White, Mrs. George (Onda Vee) Dotson, Mrs. Jerry (Ileen) Anderson, all Richfield, Utah; Mrs. Clark (Lois) Elder, Marysvale, Utah; Mrs. Richard (Gaye) Perkins, Magna, Utah; Mrs. Larry (Gloria) Stewart, Leadville, Colorado; daughter-in-law Reta Curtis, Salt Lake City, Utah; 37 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Bladen, two infants and 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held on Monday December 17, 1984 in the Aurora First LDS Ward. Interment was in the Aurora Cemetery under direction by Springer/Turner Mortuary, Salina, Utah.
