All of this info was told to me by Oscar's daughter Ruby. Oscar worked with the rail road, he was an engineer- he actually drove the trains, he worked for the one that went thru Kingsport and down into Virginia, she can't remember the name of the rail road that he worked for. Oscar married Etta when she was only 15 yrs old. Oscar and Etta built a house on some acreage in Sullivan County down in Highland Park in Tennessee close to their church which was Glenwood Baptist where they went every Sunday - Ruby says that the house is still standing, and the people who live in it take very good care of it. Oscar had asthma, and when he was 46 yrs old in 1935 he caught double pneumonia and died, Ruby was only 4 yrs old when her father passed.
