FRANCESVILLE -- John C. Werner, 82, died at his home here Sunday afternoon. He formerly operated a grocery store here for 35 years.
He married Augusta Grieger in 1899 at Wanatah, and was a member of St. James Lutheran church at Reynolds.
Surviving besides the widow are a son, Clarence, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hardy of Richmond, Mrs. Marjorie Warnell of Chicago, Mrs. Melba Sprinkle of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Lucille Wilson of Winamac; two brothers, Gust and William of Wanatah; a sister, Mrs. Emma Graham of Hammond.
