Alfred E. Calton Dies After Short Illness
Alfred E. Calton, 79, died Saturday at 6:25 p.m., in the American Fork hospital of cerebral hemorrhage. He had been ill two years. Resident of Cedar Valley, and had followed stock raising and ?. He was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was born in Salt Lake City, March 4, 1872, a son of William ? and Eliza Gutteridge Calton. He was married to Catherine ?. He had lived in Salt Lake City, Colorado and Cedar City.
He is survived by his widow: ? sons and one daughter, Alfred ? and Edwin A. Calton, Ogden, and Mrs. R. E. Allen, Ogden; ? brothers, Fred Calton, Wells, Nevada; J. H. Calton, Salt Lake City; Joseph Calton, Lehi; Dave Calton, Cedar Valley; Henry A. Calton, Sandy; two sisters, Mrs. ? E. Kammerman and Mrs. ? Smith, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral Held in Cedar Valley
Funeral services were held in Cedar Valley, Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m., with Arthur Cook of the ward bishopric in charge.
