Walter Charles Calton

Walter Charles Calton, 72, of 1565 West Eighth South street, died at a Salt Lake hospital Saturday of pneumonia.

He was born December 10, 1866, in Salt Lake City, the son of William and Maria Gutteridge Calton.

Mr. Calton had farmed in Salt Lake county all his life.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Frances Weight Calton; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Johnson of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Ruby Decker of Magna; ten grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Lage, Mrs. .Emma Kammerman and Mrs. Pearl Smith, all of Salt Lake City; six brothers, Henry and Isadore Calton of Salt Lake City; Joseph Calton, Lehi; Heber Calton, Dividend; David Calton, Cedar Fort, and Fred Calton, Wells, Nev.

Funeral services will be conducted at 260 East South Temple street at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may call at that address Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the services.

Burial will be in the City cemetery.
