VETERAN IS CALLED
Adam Schluchter, who formerly resided in the town of Herman, Sheboygan County, died at this home at Chilton last Thursday evening. Mr. Schluchter was born in Wurtemburg, Germany in 1841 and in 1853 he settled with his parents in the Town of Herman. They remained there until 1855 when they removed to Calumet County. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, having enlisted in Company G of the Third Wisconsin Infantry, and remained with the company and regiment until honorable discharged in 1865. He was a member of the Joseph B. Reynolds Post of the GAR and was well known in the northern part of this county. His widow and two sons and four daughters survive, and also a sister, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
