WILLIAM SCHLUCHTER

William R. Schluchter, 86, of Stockbridge, died Monday morning at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, after a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton. The Rev. Quentin Moeschberger will officiate and burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Chilton

Mr. Schlucter was born Dec. 4, 1881, at Stockbridge, son of the late Adam and Ottilia Kuepper Schluchter. He married Bertha Pingel Feb. 2, 1909. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1959. Mr. Schluchter farmed at Stockbridge and was a member of district eight school board for several years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Elmer of Rt. 3, Chilton, a daughter, Mrs. Roland (Leona) Wettstein, Rt. 2 Chilton; a sister, Mrs. Paul Pilling, of Chilton; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
