She was born Sept. 22, 1886, in the town of Stockbridge, a daughter of Adam and Ottilia Kuepper Schluchter. On March 24, 1909, she was married to Paul Pilling at Chilton. Mr. Pilling died in 1963. The couple farmed in the town of Stockbridge until their retirement in 1942. Mrs. Pilling was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Herman (Arleen) Schmeiser, Chilton; two granddaughters and five great grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, the Rev. Quentin Moeschberger, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Chilton.
