WITHEE - Mrs. James (Ida) Devine, Route 1, Withee, died about 4 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter in Thorp. She was 75. Rites will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen, with the Rev. Richard L. Fliss, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Withee Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, where a parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday. The former Ida VanderWegen was born March 19, 1901, at Green Bay and came to the Town of Longwood at the age of 8. Her marriage to James Devine took place June 15, 1926, at Withee. Mr. Devine, who was a barber in Withee for more than 50 years, died Nov. 7 of this year. The couple had celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in June 1976. Survivors include nine sons, Robert and David, both of Withee, Peter of Owen, Burt of Menomonee Falls, Tom of Bloomer, Ted of Green Bay, Mike of Eleva, Pat of Eau Claire, and Dan of Bruce; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Theresa) Pawlak, Thorp, Mrs. Lyle (Janice) Johnson, Spencer, Mrs. Daniel (Marilyn) Brey, Colby, and Mrs. John (Kathleen) Parker, Schofield; a brother, Clarence, Eau Claire; a sister, Mrs. Louise Johnson, Green Bay; 63 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, five brothers and four sisters.
