The family lived at 4604 Broadway when he was age 2.
He graduated on January 23, 1942 at Lowell School from the 8th grade.
Enlisted in Army on October 11, 1945 age 18. Tour of duty was about three years. He was a Corporal in Company A, 51st Military Police Battallion. World War II.
After he got out of the Army he worked at P. D. George Paint Company as a Pigment Weigher.
He died September 2, 1953 by accident.

Man Killed by Train a Block From Where Train Killed Father
Kenneth Ellington 26, of 5118 McKissock ave. was fatally injured early yesterday when he was struck by a train at McKissock and DeSoto avenues, about a block from where his father was killed by a train nine years ago.
Ellington, a paint company employee, died at City Hospital an hour and a half after the accident. He was hit while sleeping beside the track, according to police, who quoted him as saying that he laid down by the track because he was "awfully tired."
Officers said that the engineer of the Wabash Railroad passenger train was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting Ellington. His father was Harry Ellington.
Kenneth is buried in the family plot at Friedens Cemetery Section D, Lot 67 A & B. Next to his parents and little brothers.
