William Lloyd was the 2nd, of nine children born to Wesley and Martha (Fleming) Vanover. He married Malinda Vinetta Aldridge, daughter of John M. and Polly Aldridge, on Dec. 1, 1881.

They were living near his parents in 1900. They moved to Lincoln County, West Virginia, sometime after 1902 and before 1905.

William Lloyd and Vinetta had 13 children:
1. Fleetwood Francis (married Polly Jane Mills)
2. Sarah Maglentine (married John Wade Chappell)
3. Clarence F. (b. 12/2/1886 d. 9/21/1888, 21 months)
4. Evermont (married LuVada Hooser)
5. Mattie R. (b. 3/3/1891 d. 3/11/1891, 8 days old)
6. Orville Wootsen (married Dixie Hooser)
7. Russell (married Erie Perry)
8. William Claude (married Goldie Rice)
9. Floyd (married Alma Whitlow)
10. Gracie (b. 3/3/1899 d. 3/8/1899, 5 days old)
11. Spicie Dewdrop (married William Sanford Chambers)
12. Egbert "Tollie" (married Hattie Adkins)
13. Sweetheart "Lula" (married Jess Marsh)

Sadly, this family lost three infants.

NOTE: Birth date of 1867 on Death Certificate is wrong. He is listed as 5 yrs. old in 1870, 16 yrs. old in 1880, and 18 by Dec. 1881. His birth date is most likely 1863.
