Vennie (or Vinnie Lee) was born in the Lynntown community in Tattnall county, GA., the 6th child of James Alex Henry and BeAnn Hutcheson Henry.
She first married Wilton Lewis. They had 3 children, Charles, Ronnie and Sharon. Wilton passed away quite young, a couple months shy of his 26th birthday.
She married Ernest Serel Chassereau on October 3, 1959. They had 3 sons, M.C., Wymon and Erwin.
She was called Vinnilee, sort of having her name just ran together. She was a hard working, very caring and sweet woman, as well as a mighty fine cook! I was always very comfortable at her house when we were able to visit. Though she faced many trails and difficulties in her life, she never let it show.
She will always be missed. I loved my Aunt Vinnilee!
Her older brother Pearlie was my maternal grandfather.
