Wife of James Alex Henry.

Daughter of Green Hutcheson and Eddilin Hall.

Mother of Woodrow, Pearlie, O'Rita (Kersey),Mildred (Strickland), Edward, Vinnie Lee (Lewis, Chasseroux),James Alex, Ruth (Stinton, Berry), Ruby (twin of Ruth, died as an infant), Sarah Lou (died as infant) and Yvonne (Archer).

Her grandchildren called her "Grandmammie".

She fought diabetes since early adulthood, often going into a coma for days at a time. In her early adulthood, she was put on insulin shots.

She loved to help in canning and did her share of quilting. She was not a traveling type, and rarely visited others, including family. She did go into town with Grandaddy Jim on rare occasions. She was quite the homebody. Her first granchild, Nelson Henry, son of Pearlie and Dorothy, was always her favorite.

She was only 4 ft 11 in. and quite heavy, though it was said she only weighed 98 lb when she got married. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith and a member of Little Flock.

She was my great grandmother. My mother, Melba Henry George, looks just like her!
