My beautiful Great Aunt. Her 2nd oldest brother was my grandfather. She was truly one of a kind. When Uncle Frank asked her to marry him, she replied "Well, I'll have to think about it...I thought about it and yes I'll marry you!" She was sixteen when they married. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary in April 2015.

If there could ever be an example of a Godly, Christian Prayer Warrior, it was her. She prayed many, many people, both family and total strangers, through troubles and illness, anointing with oil more than I could ever hope to count. She is surely one of the Lord's most precious Saints.

She was the youngest child of a large family and took care of several of her siblings prior to their passing. She also took care of her parents and an Uncle, and these are just the few I know about.

When I was a child, she was my idol. I wanted to be as tall as her (she was 6ft in her stocking feet). I wanted my hair as long as hers and wanted to be a pretty as she was. She had a classic, regal look about her, with a beautiful complexion, long black hair and always, always, very much a lady. Uncle Frank told me she was the perfect wife to him as well as a perfect mother to their children, and Mimi to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was very family oriented and made sure to organize the Henry Family Reunion every year for as long as I can remember. She also made different members of the family promise to never let it stop; to have it even if only 2 people showed up. Family was her world. Her presence will be felt, but sorely missed at future reunions.

She was a wonderful cook, had a sweet sense of humor, a kind word for every one she met and a prayer always on stand by if ever one was needed.

My Great Aunt Yvonne, my idol, my prayer warrior, my counselor when needed, my teacher in many ways as well as my last "link" to my own mother and my grandfather.

May you now and forever enjoy the Heavenly Glory you have worked and lived for your entire life. Watch over us all and we'll see you when we get there. I love you -
