Emil was born April 19,1870 to Adolph Albert Reichenau and his wife Katherine Hedwig Aghelger shortly after his parents moved from Big Saline Valley in Kimble County, Texas to escape the Indians. They rented and moved into the Anderson's small vacant two-story rock house in Hedwig's Hill near the Llano River Emil died Oct 27, 1870 of Typhoid Fever at their home. The place of his burial is uncertain but some of the family said he was buried at Bass Cemetery near their home in Hedwig's Hill.
