James S. Keeney, 40, Poolesville, died Saturday at Suburban Hospital of injuries received in a tractor accident.

A farm manager, he was the son of the late Ephriam and Margaret Smith Keeney.

Surviving are his wife, Meredith Kifer Keeney; three daughters, Mrs. Carol Kesterman, Hyattstown, and Sharon Keeney and Jill Keeney, both at home; a son, James Keeney, at home; a granddaughter, Carol Ann Kesterman; eight sisters, Mrs. Mary Myers, Detour, Mrs. Genevieve Doody, Clarksburg, Mrs. Miriam Reynolds, Baltimore, Mrs. Margaret Main, Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Annie Muller, Middleburg, Va. Mrs. Catherine Johnson, Johnsville, and Mrs. Clara Grossnickle and Mrs. Nina Martin both of Union Bridge; and a brother, Ross Keeney, Monrovia.

Friends may call at Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville, today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be In Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
