Mrs. Genevieve K. Doody, 66, of 22820 Timber Lake Lane, Clarksburg, died Saturday, Oct. 12, at her residence. She was the wife of Boyd V. Doody.
Born in Walkersville on Nov. 2, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Ephriam E. and Margaret Elizabeth Smith Keeney. Mrs. Doody was a member of the Women of the Moose, No. 371, Frederick.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughter, Mrs. Barbara Smith of Woodfield, Mrs. Shirley Webb and Mrs. Rosalie Lamb, both of Gaithersburg, and Mrs. Bonnie May, Woodbine; one son, William Grimes, Mount Airy; five step-children, Kenneth Grimes, Mrs. Kathleen Ray, Mrs. Evelyn Warfield, Mrs. Dorothy May and Mrs. Annabelle May, all of the Frederick area; six sisters, Mrs. Miriam Reynolds of Baltimore, Mrs. Annie Muller of Middleburg, Mrs. Margaret Main of Florida, Mrs. Catherine Johnson of Johnsville, Mrs. Clara Grossnickle of Westminster and Mrs. Nina Martin, Union Bridge; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Smith, Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14. Services will be held from the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15. The Rev. Paul Leatherman Jr. of Sam's Creek Church of the Brethren will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
