Betty Carr, 72, went to be with her Lord, on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Box Butte General Hospital.Betty was born December 27, 1933 at Lynch, Nebraska to Fred and Ethel (Hiserote) Kraft. On November 15, 1951 Betty was united in marriage with Bob Carr in Bristow, Nebraska. They had more than fifty wonderful years together before Bob passed away in 2002. Betty's home was always the gathering place and all were welcome. She was at her happiest when she had a full house to cook for. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church where she was very involved in many functions. She was also a member of R.S.V.P. and the Golden Age Club. Betty is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Mary Ann and Buzz Grover of Hill City, South Dakota, and Susie and Horace Howard of Alliance; her grandchildren, Kasey and Kim Carter of Charlotte, North Carolina, Heidi Schaub of Denver, Colorado, Angie Charles of Gering, Craig Carter and Laurie Rein of Alliance, Jennifer and Jude Wildeman of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Matt and Amy Howard of St. Petersburg, Florida; her great grandchildren, Zach and Casey Hamilton of St. Petersburg, Florida, Hayley, Cade and Colton Charles of Gering, Sara and Camilla Carter of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ezra Wildeman of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Maci Rein-Lake of Alliance. She is also survived by her brother, William Kraft of Pilot Point, Texas; her aunt, Grace Schultz of Phoenix, Arizona; and a wonderful extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Reverend Doug Griger and Reverend Kasey Carter will officiate. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
