WATERBURY, Neb. -- William Albert Kraft, 78, of Pilot Point, Texas, formerly of Waterbury, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in Pilot Point.

Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey, Texas.

Mr. Kraft was born May 31, 1930, in Spencer, Neb., to Fred and Ethel (Hisrote) Kraft. He married Lucille Mae Rhodman on May 3, 1953, in Bristow, Neb. They lived several years in Bristow and Waterbury before moving to Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict from 1952 to 1954.

He is survived by a son, Dean Kraft of Pilot Point, Texas; his children, Amanda Cosby, Elaine and her husband, John Cressell and Amy Kraft and friend, Danny; their grandchildren, Logan, Mary Ann and Abigail Cosby, Lindsey and Mackenzie Cressell and Alexia Gafford; a daughter, Lois and her husband, Fred Ruden of Taylor, Texas; children, Jamie Ruden and friend, Al, Brian Ruden and wife, Shellsea, Kimberly Ruden and friend, Corey, William Ruden and friend, Sarah; stepchildren, Craig Ruden and wife, Melissa and Michelle and husband, Jason Cuppy; their grandchildren, Damian Gonzales, Ryan Clouston, Keyanna Anderson, Corey Anderson Jr., Madison West, Rachael, Sara and Emma Ruden and Trevor Cuppy; a daughter, Lisa and husband, Bruce Robison of Pilot Point, Texas; their daughters, Corinne Robison and friend, Daryl, Savannah Robison; and their grandchild, Chauncy Robison; and an aunt, Grace Schutlz of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; a son, Gary; his parents, Fred and Ethel; brothers, Lloyd and Melvin Kraft; and a sister, Betty Carr.
