Mr. Coughlin was born in Brasher Falls, Dec. 8, 1903, a son of Daniel and Hannah O'Connell Coughlin. He graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Brasher Falls, and attended Potsdam State Normal School. He served in World War 2. For the past several years he had been employed in Gabriels and Saranac Lake.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Grace) Buckley and Mrs. J. B. (Mollie) O'Brien, both of Brasher Falls; four brothers, Harry Coughlin, Brasher Falls, Herman Coughlin, Hogansburg, and James and Donald Coughlin, both of Bloomingdale, and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was made in St. Patrick cemetery in Brasher Falls, NY
