Services were held at St. Patrick's Church at 10 o'clock this morning for Miss Margaret Coughlin, 38, who died on 1/22/1946 in Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone.
She was born in Brasher Falls on March 27, 1908, one of eight children of Daniel Coughlin, of Brasher, who now lives in Bloomingdale, and the late Hannah O'Connell.
She attended the Brasher school, was graduated from Potsdam State Normal and Crane Institute of Music, and taught school for twenty years.
Surviving besides her father are two sisters and five brothers: Harry Coughlin, Brasher; Riley Coughlin, Bloomingdale, James, Bloomingdale, Donald, Brasher, and Herman of Winthrop; Mrs. John (Mollie) O'Brien, Brasher-Helena Road, and Mr. Lee (Grace) Buckley of Brasher Settlement. Also surviving are six nephews and nieces.
Riley and Donald have recently been discharged from the army, Donald arriving from India, Jan. 4. The Hammill ambulance took the body to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Buckley, where a prayer service was conducted by Rev. John A. Cotter at 9:30 a.m., who later sang the requiem mass. Interment was made in St. Patrick cemetery.
