Born at Brasher Falls, Oct. 10, 1897, he was a son of Daniel and Hannah O'Connell Coughlin. He retired 25 years ago from Standard Oil Co. His wife, the former Kathryn Hurley died on March 13, 1940.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Grace) Buckley, with whom he made his home and Mrs. J. B. (Mollie) O'Brien, both of Brasher Falls and three brothers, Herman of Hogansburg and James and Donald both of Bloomingdale and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was made in St. Patrick cemetery in Brasher Falls.
