She was born in the town of Stockholm on April 11, 1897, the daughter of Cornelius and Nora Collins Hurley. She married Harry Coughlin at Brasher Falls in 1925. She was a clerk in the C. Milton Clark dry goods store of this village, She leaves her husband, a brother Timothy Hurley of Winthrop, three sisters, Mrs. James Kelley of Brasher Falls, Mrs. George McKenna of Norwood and Miss Anna Hurley of Massena.
Burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery in Brasher Falls.
