On 8 August 1903 she married William Desmond Bassman. They had seven children: Basil Desmond (1905-1991), Casper Milton (1905-1980), Sybil Ruth (1907-1932), Edith L (1910-1925), Mabel (1912-2003), Rachel Ellen (1914-1916), and Veva Geraldine (1922-2005).
For three and a half years Pearl suffered from valvular heart diseases. She died when she ws 41 years, six months and 8 days of age. Her youngest daughter Veva was about two years old when she died.
She was buried in the Union Odd Fellows Cemetery on March 26, 1925.
