Samuel G. Mitchell, 61, of Ridgway, died Tuesday, October 15, 1996 at Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mr. Mitchell was born May 5, 1935 in Valier,
the son of Samuel G. & Dorothy Kunselman Mitchell.
He was married to the former Patricia Russell.
A resident of Ridgway for 32 years, he had worked at IPM and was retired from Alpin Pressed Metals. He was an avid fly fisherman and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving relatives include four children:
Tina Samick of Ridgway, Cheyney Mitchell of Ridgeway;
Steve Mitchell of Ridgway; and Jeff Mitchell of Punxsutawney; seven grandchildren; and one sister,Edith Ruth of Punxsutawney.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
a son,Samuel G. Mitchell,III; and a brother,Richard Mitchell.
Funeral and committal services will be held at Thursday at the Meehan Shik Funeral Home of Ridgway. Fr. Paul Siebert will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Leo`s Cemetery.
